The Rewards

There are many different ways your local ownership team for StudentSchedule.com can be rewarded for marketing your online calendar publication. They include:

Money - Every time a student from your school subscribes for StudentSchedule.com your team will receive between 5 and 50 cents depending on how they answer certain questions in the registration area. Also, students who see our national advertising and subscribe from your school will count as your students! In addition to earning money from students, you will keep up to 75% of all advertising sales from local businesses that you generate.

Employment - All teams excelling in campus marketing, will be considered first for all entry-level and internship opportunities in Simpedia Networks, the parent company of StudentSchedule.com. If you decide that Internet marketing isn't for you, we can help you find employment with many top companies nationwide. Simpedia Networks also owns eCampusRecruiter, a leading employment site specifically for students looking for entry-level employment, internships, on-campus jobs, and graduate jobs, and we would be happy to contact any employer for you.

Experience - Although money and employment seem to be the most exciting aspects of this program, the experience you will gain will be the most rewarding in the long run. The experience you gain from running, managing, and marketing your own business will stay with you forever. Our management team will work with you to help understand important marketing and business concepts and how to implement them.

The Way It Works

As the ownership team for StudentSchedule.com online calendar publication on your campus, we will help your team penetrate the entire collegiate community. Your team will be responsible for all marketing events and promotions on campus throughout a semester or yearlong term. In addition to marketing responsibilities, your team will manage and update local content. This includes school sports schedules, events on campus, and inserting class syllabi. All of this can be done easily online, so no programming is required! Campus teams should consist of at least 2-3 current fulltime students at a college or university, but are not required. Business fraternities and entrepreneurship programs are encouraged to apply for the program as well. Each team member will have different roles. The roles consist of student marketing, local business marketing, and professor marketing.

Student Marketing - StudentSchedule.com will provide you with specific marketing instructions to enable you to successfully acquire student subscribers to your local online calendar publication. Different promotions will include contacting local student organizations, speaking with campus media, taking pictures of students, setting up tables by student unions, posting flyers, and most of all word-of-mouth marketing.

Local Business Marketing - In addition to student marketing, your campus ownership team will have the ability to sell advertising to local businesses on your campus. We will show you how to attract a number of local businesses including bars, restaurants, bookstores, and others to place advertising in unique ways. Local businesses will pay your team to post events like food and bar specials, music events, and more on your campus's StudentSchedule.com calendar. You can also sell banner advertising, direct e-mail sponsorships, and site sponsorships.

Professor Marketing - One of the easiest ways to acquire student subscribers is to have professors post class schedules and syllabi using our Syllabus Wizard. We will show you how to setup meetings with professors and inform them how StudentSchedule.com will help them and their students.
